These are a few of my favorite things...

I have been feeling sort of blue this week...We will lose our "dream house" on monday if we don't get a contract on this home in just 3 short days. We've had plenty of showings of our home (20 or so, 5 in the past 4 days)but have had no more offers since our last one fell through.  I have felt strangely weepy... anytime I think about the other house, the tears start to flow...didn't think I would feel THIS sad , but I do. Going into this I had decided that we would give it our best shot and if it was meant to be, then it would work out and if not, then at least we would know and have our answer. No big deal.We worked HARD. Really hard. Painted, had our home inspected,  fixed up every little thing, obsessively cleaned, packed up and moved lots of furniture to help de-clutter, stayed on top of the laundry (need to keep that one up!), yanked baby up from numerous naps, nagged our poor kids (but boy have they stepped up and I couldn't be prouder) and have rearranged our lives for the past 21/2 months to accommodate showings and put every effort into selling this house. It's just not meant to be. I feel sad right now. But I know life will go on, we will stay in our de-cluttered and lovely home and we will continue to make memories here. All is not lost. But, for now I am in need of some cheering up. When I feel sad I always think of Julie Andrews in the sound of music..."when the dog bites, when the bees sting, when I'm feeling sad...I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feeeeeeel...soooooo baad"

So today, (mostly for MY benefit, sorry guys!) I'm going to share a few of my favorites things "and then I won't feeeeel...sooooo baaad"...

  1. Getting to spend time with YOU and your sweet famliy is one of my favorite things!! We love you guys and had sooooo much fun this last weekend. (even if it was quick!) Don't fret about the house (I know that's easier said than done, and I don't mean to dimish your feelings, but) . . . good things are around the corner for you guys . . . I can just feel it! Love you Caroline!
