Weekend with Sarah

We got to go see SISTER and her family over Labor Day weekend!  It was so fun to hang out, stay up late, dance with the kids, go to the parade, and crochet a ton.

We started with some outdoors time, sitting by the fire, roasting marshmallows, and laughing the night away.

The next day, we got to go to the Ft. Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous.  This is a really cool Festival where you can buy all kinds of handmade things.  Sarah and Eric have been telling us about it for years, so it was fun to finally go.

I ended up getting some deer lace straps, for making bracelets, and we got homemade creme soda, too!  Our boys were in heaven and left with all kinds of spears, fox feet, crystals, etc.  Lots of fun for boys.  I also found some of the cutest mocassins at a very reasonable price, for baby girl, but they needed to be just a smidgen bigger.  : (

I love to people watch.  It's really cool to see everyone dressed like they live in the 1800s.  I think it's funny that I kind of feel out of place because I'm dressed like I live in 2012 .

Thanks for the fun weekend, family!!

Beehive Bazaar- Mother's Day gift?

I stopped by The Beehive Bazaar this afternoon and picked up some treasures. A little something for my mother-in-law, here. For my mom here and here. Mango salsa from her. (She's right. It's 'to-die-for'.) And two bookmarks ('I AM A CHILD OF GOD' with the boy silhouette) for the boysies, from this shop.

I think I'll be making another visit (this time more selfishly) tomorrow with my sister. I've got my eye on this store, these beautiful pillows, and these necklaces. SO many cute things to choose from! Don't miss it!

Thanksgiving Point barn - Tomorrow from 10am-10pm and Saturday from 10am-8pm

Some gifts

We hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas yesterday, surrounded by the ones they love. We're enjoying time with family back home.

I crocheted some hats for a few friends, as Christmas gifts this year:

The Beehive Bazaar: Spring 2009

We went last night with Sister. We were like 3 giggling schoolgirls. It was so much fun!
Look at the goods. Oh my!! I was in heaven and, just as I thought, I wanted everything I saw. There were homemade soaps, cupcakes, cookies, salsa, handmade jewelry, art, clothing, onesies, cards, bags, magnets, belts, baby mobiles, bibs, shoes, and more.
I wanted the whole 'Mode Boutique' table, just as I thought I would. I settled for a vintage peacock ring.

I also got some cute peach flower earrings from the 'Button Boutique'. Only $3.50!

I might kinda want to go back tomorrow when Hubba's home to watch the kids. Is that weird? It's just that, now that I have a better idea of what's there, I think it's necessary that I support the crafting community a little more. If you get a chance, you really should go. It's a great thing to do with the girlfriends. Happy shopping!!

Mode Boutique -POPPY

We're SO excited to go to the Beehive Bazaar tomorrow! I've been browsing the sellers this year and, let me tell you, there are some good ones. One of my favorites would have to be Becca Neely of Mode Boutique. Those little hair pins are speaking to me. Click on the Beehive Bazaar button on the left sidebar to get a sneak peek at the goods.

And once again, here is the Beehive Bazaar info.:

Don't miss this. . . .

The Beehive Bazaar.

So excited for this! PETUNIA+POPPY were too late this time but we will hopefully be selling at the next show. We're still excited to go and see our fellow crafties doing what they do best. And hopefully we'll leave with some pretty new things!

For those of you who have never been, it's a great place to get adorable handmade items: accessories, home decor, clothes, baby things, jewelry, cards, etc. Remember, Mother's Day is coming up! You're sure to find the perfect gift. Click below for more details:
